Huawei launches Enjoy 8e Youth smartphone for about Rs 8,500

Huawei has launched several phones in the Enjoy series so far but has not launched any of those in India. So it is unlikely that the new Enjoy 8e will come to India. Nonetheless, the China based company has aggressive plans for the Indian market, with a plan to increase its market share to 10 per cent by 2019.

Earlier in March this year, Huawei launched a series of phone called Enjoy under which it launched three phones called Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8e and Enjoy 8 Plus. Now another phone in the series, called Enjoy 8e Youth has been announced.

Priced at approximately Rs 8,500 (CNY 799), the Enjoy 8e Youth comes in Black, Blue, and Gold colours. Presently, it is available in China but there is no information about its Indian launch date.

Thankfully, this Huawei phone has a dedicated micro SD card slot for a up to 256 GB card which complements well its internal storage of 32 GB. This phone measures 146.5x7.09x8.3mm and comes packed with a 3020 mAh battery. Besides, the Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has gravity sensor, light sensor, and a proximity sensor as well.

So far Huawei has not launched any Enjoy series phone in India so it is quite unlikely for this phone to make it to the Indian shores either.
The company has however aggressive plans for India and it aims to capture 10 per cent market share in the country by 2019. Mostly, the company is focussing on its online only Honor brand in India. As per a report in April this year, its Honor brand with a 3.4 per cent market share has for the first time got into the top 5 club in India. Honor had just 1.4 per cent market share in the same period last year.
