WhatsApp will soon introduce Sticker feature for you


The new feature will allow users to send stickers to other users, similar to what we have seen in Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. However, the blog reveals that the feature is disabled for development reasons and it will be enabled in next releases. The new Sticker category is present right next to GIF.

WhatsApp is gearing up to introduce a new feature for its users. The brand is all set to include Sticker feature in its messaging application, which has been spotted on the latest WhatsApp Beta version 2.18.120.

As spotted by WABetainfo, the new feature will allow users to send stickers to other users, similar to what we have seen in Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. However, the blog reveals that the feature is disabled for development reasons and it will be enabled in next releases. Further, there is no word when the brand will release the new feature for the masses.

 Coming to the new Sticker category, it is present right next to GIF. When you click on the Sticker View section, there will be a new Love icon on the sticker bar along with some stickers. The report highlights that users see the all available categories. Users can also download different sticker packs as well.

At the time of writing, there are four different reactions buttons, which sort the stickers according to the mood. The four reactions buttons are Lol, Love, Sad and Wow. The app will show the relatable sticker in each of the categories.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has revealed about 1 million people are testing the WhatsApp payments feature. "Today, almost one million people are testing WhatsApp payments in India. The feedback has been very positive, and people enjoy the convenience of sending money as simple and securely as sending messages," a WhatsApp spokesperson told PTI.  The spokesperson further added that WhatsApp is working closely with the Indian government, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and multiple banks to expand the feature to masses. The messaging app had received permission from NPCI to tie up with banks for financial transactions via Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
