LG has today introduced its new range of televisions in India that comes loaded with Artificial Intelligence (AI) ThinQ. The new range includes various models under its OLED, Super UHD, UHD and Smart TV category. The new range comes with a starting price of Rs 32,500 and goes up to Rs 29,49,990.
The major highlight of TVs is the inclusion of AI functionality. The company says that with AI features, customers can speak directly into the remote control to enjoy all the convenient features of the voice assistant technology. The OLED and SUPER UHD TVs come with Natural Language Processing (NLP) that delivers voice-activated control and connectivity based on LG’s own deep learning technology, DeepThinQ.
“Artificial intelligence is definitely the road ahead for all our future products. AI functionality backed up with extensive research is incorporated in televisions with an aim of delivering a unique and more intuitive experience. As a matter of fact, we have taken a step ahead to democratise the AI function across our range of smart televisions. At LG our interest is in improving the user lifestyle and convenience,” said Younchul Park, Director-Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India.The televisions also comes loaded with Mobile Connection Overlay that basically enables customers to view both the mobile and television simultaneously. Customers can also access cloud photos and videos directly from LG TV. The 2-way Bluetooth feature on these televisions allow users to listen to the TV audio wirelessly on compatible audio device and connect the mobile with LG TV. The customers can also share smartphone screen with LG TV via Miracast and control the smartphone through LG Magic Remote.
The televisions also comes loaded with new Alpha 9 processor that the company claims can deliver true-to-life images. The chipset is designed to support high frame rate (HFR) for producing smoother and clearer motion images at 120 frames per second for better rendering of fast-action content such as sports and action movies.
The company has also added Nano Cell technology to its SUPER UHD TVs. By combining Nano Cell, FALD backlighting and the α (Alpha) 7 processor, LG’s 2018 SUPER UHD TV offers deeper blacks, enhanced image rendering, improved shadow details and accurate colour from wide viewing angles.
2018 OLED and SUPER UHD TVs from LG feature 4K Cinema HDR as well. Further, the both OLED and SUPER UHD TVs comes with Advanced HDR technology that supports major HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG. Both 2018 OLED TVs and SUPER UHD TVs come with Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound for the best audio-visual experience possible.
