Meizu is all set to announce its next-generation of smartphones in China. The company has confirmed that it will launch Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus in the country on July 30.
The brand has started rolling out invites for the same that confirms the name Meizu 16 Plus. The phones will be the successor of Meizu 15 and Meizu 15 Plus that was announced recently. The phones were recently spotted on TENAA that reveals some key specs and images. Further, the new leak on Weibo reveals that both the phones will come with a 91.18 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Starting with Meizu 16, the TENAA listing reveals that it will feature a 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU. The Meizu 16 will be backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, there will be dual rear cameras with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor and 20-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, there will be a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a 2950mAh battery.
Coming to the Meizu 16 Plus, the phone features 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Further, the device is fueled with 3750mAh battery. Apart from this, the rest of the specifications remains similar to what we have seen in Meizu 16.
Both the smartphones will run on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on the company’s Flyme OS. On the connectivity front, both of them features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM and USB Type-C port. The Meizu 16 measures 150.5 x 73.2 x 7.3mm and weighs 156 grams. The Meizu 16 Plus measures 160.4 x 78.2 x 7.3mm and weighs 180 grams.
