S9 Intermittent Charging
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and I’m having a problem with charging my phone with the lightning charger. When I start charging my phone a few minutes later when it’s idle it continuously wakes itself up as if I just plugged the charger in. It will make the sound it makes when I first plug in the charger to my phone. The screen stays lit up so I press the button on the right side of my phone to make the screen go back to black so it will charge fast but again the screen lights up and makes the sound you hear when you first plug in the charger to the phone and then it starts charging slow because the screen stays lit up. This has been happening for a few weeks now since one of the updates from a few months ago. So I thought maybe it’s the charger so I got a new Samsung lighting charger and I still have the same issue. It constantly does this until the battery finally reaches about 93% and then it stops doing it and the screen stays black. Can you please help me with this?
Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of the phone since dirt or debris stuck in this port could be causing the problem. The best way to clean this port is by using a can of compressed air. Once the port has been cleaned try charging it again. If the issue still persists the next step is to check if the issue is caused by a software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Check if the issue still occurs after the reset. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already.
S9 Charging Connects Then Disconnects
Problem: The problem is my phone or my charger? – My phone S9 won’t charge using my cable ( sometimes it charges but when i move it a bit , it disconnect. Sometimes it won’t charge at all) , but i tried to charge my sister’s phone using my cable and it charges. I tried charging my phone using another cable and it charges. I tried using my cable and my fast charging powerbank, on my phone it says cable charging but on my sister’s phone it says fast charging help im so confused.
Solution: Whenever this issue occurs it is most likely caused by a faulty charging cord. You should try using a new charging cord on your phone then check if the issue still occurs. Another factor that can cause this problem is the presence of dirt in the charging port of the phone. If this is the case you will need to clean the port using a can of compressed air.
S9 Will Not Fast Charge
Problem: Hello I was wondering why my s9 still wont fast charge with a brand new cable and block directly from samsung but that is not all i also want to know why samsung can’t make a phone that can charge normally and fast charge can anybody answer this question?
Solution: For this issue you should make sure that the fast charging option of the phone is turned on.
- From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

- Tap Battery.
- Tap the More options icon.

- Turn on the Fast cable charging, touch the slider.
S9 Stuck On Bootloop
Problem: My phone is looping between a black screen and showing the home (date & time) screen every 10 secs or so. I can not turn the phone off. I have done the soft reboot numerous time, no change. Reading thru your website, I made it to a blue screen which says downloading…do not turn off target. Please help, the phone is hot also. I’m traveling thru Morocco and may not find a reputable android store.
Solution: For this particular issue you will have to remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed. You should also make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge before proceeding with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Try starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of the phone for the recovery mode.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
- If the issue still persists then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
