Candies ‘n Curses Will Launch on Android soon

Crescent Moon Games have announced Candies ‘n Curses is landing on Android soon – and it involves fending off a range of sugar craved ghouls.

It’s an arcade rogue-lite game that sees you play as Molli Pop. You battle enemies across multi-layered stages, and to vanquish these foes you have to rely on a range of flashlights – from lanterns to, er, magical beam swords.

You get the chance to upgrade your weaponry across 6 different regions while battling a ever more tricksy range of ghosts and demons.

The controls are simple, with Molli directed completely via the touch screen. Molli runs in one direction automatically, with swipes left or right making her change direction – and swiping up or down will get her to jump between floors.

There are also boss levels, daily challenges, and some slick pixel-art visuals – which you can see in action in the video above.

We reckon this one might turn out to be a bit of a winner. Candies ‘n Curses will, fittingly, be released around Halloween sometime this year – with a tentative 31st of October launch date.
