Vivo has silently launched a new smartphone in India under Y series, Vivo Y81 for Rs 12,990. The smartphone is now available for purchase on Amazon in Black and Gold colours. In the Y-series, the company earlier launched Vivo Y83 in India for Rs 14,990.
At this price point, Vivo Y81 competes with smartphones like Realme 1, Redmi Note 5, Honor 9N and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Initially, the Vivo Y81 was launched in Taiwan in June this year. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 1520 x 720 pixels resolution. Vivo Y81 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 256GB using the micro SD card.
Powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core 2.0GHz processor, the Vivo Y81 Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box topped with Vivo’s own FunTouch operating system. Camera department includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with aperture f/2.2. It is backed up by a battery of 3260mAh. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature.
Connectivity features of Vivo Y81 include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS+GLONASS, micro USB port, FM Radio and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has155.06 x 75 x 7.7mm dimensions and weighs 145 grams.
