Honor is all set to launch a new smartphone in China on October 11. Dubbed as Honor 8C, the company has posted an invite on Weibo for the upcoming launch, which is scheduled to take place on the said date.

The invite shows the phone’s outline and a tagline “Charging Up”, which could simply mean that the smartphone could feature refined fast charging support, which is particularly missing in many Honor smartphones. The successor of the Honor 7C will come loaded with a notched display that will house an earpiece and front-facing camera along with a usual array of sensors.
Interestingly, a new Honor smartphone with model number BKK-TL00 has been found listed on TENAA, which is speculated to be none other Honor 8C. The listing reveals that the smartphone will come loaded with a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels.
The smartphone will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor, which is reported to be none other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 GPU. The phone features a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
For optics, the Honor 8C will feature a dual-camera setup at the back, which comes with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, the phone features an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Honor 8C runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 running on top of it and it is backed by a 4000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 158.72 x 75.94 x 7.98mm and weighs 167.2 grams.
