The company has revealed the list of 49 smartphones that will be getting EMUI 9.1 update. The company categorized the list into three sections. The first section is about Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and Mate 20 Porsche Design edition that will get the public beta, which it already did.
The second section consists of models that are meant for internal testing or closed beta. The list includes the Mate 10 series, Mate 9 series, P20 series, P10 series, Nova 4, Nova 3, Nova 3i, Honor 8A, Honor 8X, Nova 2s, Honor 7, Honor 10, Honor V10 and others.
Finally, the company has revealed the list of models that it is planning to upgrade the EMUI 9.1. The list includes Nova 4e, Nova 3e, Enjoy 9 Plus, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy Max, Enjoy 9s, Enjoy 7s, Enjoy 9e, Honor 9 Lite, Honor 8X Max, Honor 20i, Honor 9i, Honor Play. Huawei has also revealed the list of tablets that will get EMUI 9.1 update and it includes the MediaPad M5 Lite (10.1 inches), MediaPad M5 Lite (8.0 inches), MediaPad M5 (10.3 inches), Honor Tab 5 and a few other tablets.
The new update of EMUI 9.1 brings a new interface to the Mate 20 smartphones with new icons for a more immersive experience. The update also brings the third iteration of GPU Turbo (aptly named GPU Turbo 3.0). Huawei says GPU Turbo 3.0 can bring down the power consumption of the chipset by 10 per cent and this offers better optimisation continuously for the long run.
