Designed to be fully waterproof, the Vivosmart 4 equips Garmin’s updated Elevate heart-rate sensor that can track abnormal rhythms in the heart, stress tracking and analysing VO2 max levels when performing activities like walks, runs, strength training, yoga and swimming.
Smartwatch and wearable maker Garmin has announced the launch of the Garmin Vivosmart 4 fitness tracker in India with advanced sleep monitoring and blood oxygen sensor for tracking the quality of your sleep and estimate the light, deep and REM stages of sleep. The Garmin Vivosmart 4, which was launched globally in August last year, will be available in India for a price of Rs 12,990 at Helios Watch Stores across the country and at Garmin brand store in Bengaluru.

There’s a Pulse Oxygen sensor which measures the blood oxygen saturation to accurate tracking of sleep quality.
The Garmin wearable comes with a tiny grayscale display that will be able to show you basic smartwatch notifications which you can really to with a basic set of preset messages. The display is surrounded by metallic accents which are available in gold, silver and rose gold depending upon the variant you choose. In addition to being pool-safe and shower-safe, the Vivosmart 4 will also be able to last you to up to 7 days on a single charge.
There’s a new Body battery energy monitor which uses data from HRV, activities and stress to estimate a person’s energy reserves within their body. This will notify you when’s the right time for you to exercise or get some rest. A higher number will indicate that you’re supposed to get on without your regular workout while a lower count means you might need to get some rest soon.
Prior to this, the company launched the Vivoactive 3 Music LTE back in January as its first GPS smartwatch with 4G LTE connectivity for safety features, music downloads and text messages right from the wrist. Garmin also unveiled the Instinct rugged smartwatch in December with 14-day battery launched in India for a price of Rs 26,990.
