Huawei sub-brand Honor will be launching the Honor 8X in India on October 16. The Honor 8X was launched in China last month in black, blue, red and pink colours. After its launch in India, the smartphone will become the first smartphone from the company with new Kirin 710 SoC in India. The Honor 8X will be the successor of Honor 7X which was launched last year for Rs 12,999.
In China, the smartphone comes in two variants - 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at 1,499 Yuan which is approx. Rs 15,700 and 1,799 Yuan which is approx. Rs 19,000. The smartphone in India will compete with other popular smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Realme 2 Pro.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Honor 8X features 6.5-inch Full HD+ display that carries a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display has a 2.5D curved glass display and 91% screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710 (quad 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 + quad 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The storage can be expanded up to 400GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.
