Amazon Prime Music gets synchronized with lyrics feature in India


The company says that the lyrics are available from a vast catalog of music and one can enjoy line-by-line lyrics on the Prime Music app.

Amazon has announced the addition of a new feature on its popular music streaming application, the Amazon Prime Music, India. The app now comes loaded with synchronized lyrics feature for various songs.

The lyrics are currently available in Hindi and English. Prime members will be now able to listen and sing along to songs that they love with this new feature. The company says that the lyrics are available from a vast catalogue of music and one can enjoy line-by-line lyrics on the Prime Music app. The feature is available for mobile application, web player and desktop application.

The Amazon Prime Music is the part of Amazon Prime membership. The subscription is available for Rs 999 a year or Rs 129 a month. With this, customers get access to Prime Music, Prime Videos and Amazon Shopping application.

Previously, Amazon has now announced that it’s rolling out a free tier of Amazon Prime Music. Starting today, owners of Alexa-powered speakers will be able to access Amazon Prime Music service for free but with ads. Users will be able to play music through Alexa on speakers for free without having subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited or Amazon Prime membership. To make music free, Amazon will be rendering ads on their Alexa speakers.

The company also rolled out Alexa support on Amazon Prime Music. Listeners can simply ask Alexa to play music wherever they go, while the app is open on any iOS and Android smartphones, without tapping the Alexa icon. Users can now directly ask Alexa to play music from their favourite movie soundtracks, play music by mood, activity, era, genre, artists or create a playlist just by asking without needing to tap the Alexa icon.
