Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition Launch and Review


Oppo has launched a brand-new variant of its flagship, the Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition. The smartphone design features a vibrant blend of different blue and red color shades across the rear panel, giving it a unique and eye-catching appearance. The special edition smartphone was done in collaboration with the Egyptian industrial designer Karim Rashid. The smartphone even carries his signature at the back.

The Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition is priced at the RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 31,900). However, for RMB 200 (approximately Rs 2,100) more the company is also bundling a pair of custom JBL earphones. Oppo started taking pre-orders on 19 May, but the phone will be available starting today. News of an Indian launch doesn’t seem to be in sight.

Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition specifications and features
The special edition of the smartphone features the same specifications as the standard Oppo R15. It comes with a 6.28-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2280) display that features an aspect ratio of 19:9, all thanks to the notch at the top. The phone runs on Helio P60 octa-core SoC and 6GB of RAM. It also features 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone packs a 3,450 mAh battery and runs on ColorOS 5.0, based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and dual-SIM support.

In the optics department, the phone features dual-rear cameras at the back, which consist of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor for depth measurement. Up front is a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera also comes equipped with AI smart beauty for taking stunning selfies.
