LG X5 with MediaTek 6750, 4,500mAh battery and Android Oreo Released Review

Powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT 6750 chipset which is clocked in at 1.5GHz, the X5 comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s own LG Pay mobile payments solution which is possible due to the inbuilt NFC chip.

LG has quietly launched the LG X5 (2018) as its newest entry-level device in South Korea, as the successor to the LG X5 which was launched in 2016. The device features a 5.5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and huge bezels on the front. The LG X5 is currently available only in South Korea in a Moroccan Blue variant that’s price at KRW 3,63,000 (approx. Rs 22,800).

The mere 2GB memory is a questionable topic since most budget smartphones are now equipped with 4GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s own LG Pay mobile payments solution which is possible due to the inbuilt NFC chip.

  

In terms of imaging, the LG X5 offers a 13MP camera as its primary sensor which misplaced above the fingerprint scanner at the back along with a 5MP lens on the front for selfies. There’s a massive 4,500mAh battery that will able to last a minimum of 2 days on a single charge.

For connectivity, the device offers 4G VoLTE with Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band) and support for LTE UE CAT 4 for higher download speeds. Unlike the traditional design, the successor to the X5 (2016) comes with a volume rocker on the left with a power button on the right side with an LG branding at the bottom bezel.

LG has already listed the Moroccan Blue-coloured LG X5 (2018) for sale in South Korea which will be available for an asking price of KRW 3,63,000 (approx. Rs 22,800).
